About GeoVision DVR
Systems
WHY CHOOSE DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDER (DVR) SYSTEM?
Traditionally,
surveillance systems have been analogue systems, essentially
closed circuit TV networks. They have been expensive and
inflexible. Video was often recorded on to tapes which resulted
in unmanageable tape libraries and storage space nightmares. In
recent years, digitization has become the global leading trend
for surveillance system. Digital Video Recording undoubtedly
plays a major role in today's surveillance system. The future of
DVR products, combined with Internet and mobile communication
has prominent effect on future development of security industry.
Global demand for
security products and systems will grow consistently, driven by
an increasing crime problem in developing nations and media
attention to crime in developed countries.

Twin DVR
When a
surveillance system serves a large number of remote clients
over the internet, there may be times where the system is
threatened by network overloads. Twin DVR helps to balance
server load by distributing service requests to another
server. Twin DVR is a web server application that runs on
another computer and helps to take the web user requests that
may otherwise take up the GeoVision system server resources
for video monitoring and recording frame rate.
